Early in the morning, we will leave from Delhi by A/C Car, taking Yamuna Express Way to reach Agra by sunrise and experience the beauty of Taj, at sunrise. At Agra, you will visit Taj Mahal, a legendary beauty, attracting people around the world. People visit here to experience tranquil and peaceful romantic site every year.
On arrival to city of Mughals Agra, you will be received by one of our representatives, who will direct you to visit UNESCO world heritage sites & wonders of the world Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is represented as “teardrop on the face of eternity” as described by Indian classical writer Tagore. Taj Mahal, a white marble mausoleum reveals undying story of love of Emperor Shah Jahan and Empress Mumtaz. It’s construction took a period of 22 years from 1631 AD to 1653 AD, around 22,000 workers worked daily. Situated on banks of river Yamuna making itself quite dominant in the whole area. Taj Mahal is also marked as an expression of a “dream” (meaning Crown Palace), which is the house grave of queen Mumtaz Mahal at lower chamber of mausoleum. The grave of Shah Jahan was later added to it.
Along with the spectacular view of Taj Mahal you can also enjoy a tonga ride (Horse Carriage) from parking to Taj Mahal. After taj Mahal we will see the Local traditional Art Marble demonstration & proceed for Buffet Lunch at 5 Star Hotel ITC Mughal, Jaypee Palace & Trident. After the delightful lunch at hotel, you will visit to Agra Fort a massive red-sandstone Fort, built by Mughals. It is situated on the bank of the River Yamuna.
Now we will ahead to the second part of our tour After Lunch we will proceed to Agra Qila-UNESCO world heritage site. This fort was renovated with red sandstone on the orders of Emperor Akbar and further additions were made to it by his grand-son Shah Jahan, using-white marble. This fort was built primarily as military structure, surrounded by 21.4 meter high walls and four gates on its four sides, but Shah Jahan later transformed it into a palace. It is believed, after seizing powers by Aurangzeb in 1658, Shah Jahan was prisoned here for eight years and he died there.
“Quila-i-Akbari” also served as the capital to Mughal sultanate due to its prime location. The main attraction of AGRA FORT are Diwan-I-Aam(Hall of public audience, used for hearing common public grievances),Diwan-I-Khas(hall of private audience), Sheesh Mahal(a glass palace, with tiny mirrors on the wall), and mosques inside the Fort.
After the visit to Agra Fort we will leave for Delhi , taking Yamuna expressway .On arrival to Delhi you will be transfer to your hotel or airport with sweet memories of Agra tour for your onward journey.
